Find a good sharpener in your area who services groomers and have them do it. If you don't know what you are doing, you will end up ruining them. It doesn't cost all that much..$4-$6 per blade is about average (may depend on your area though)

The best thing you can do is send them to someone who sharpens the blades. I used to groom dogs, and we had one person who took care of all of our blades and other equipment. I'm sure you can do it yourself, but you really risk the blades not working right again. If they aren't done roght, they can get warm too fast, or not fit properly again and be too loud for the dogs.

Hi it's not easy to do & much better if you send them to a specialist or ask the manafacturer from their website online...We used to have a kennel full of poodles & people that brought us dogs to clip & we always sent them away to be done as doing them yourself was not working...It's a specialist job as they have to be realy sharp...Regard Jake..

If they detach from the clipper, you could just replace them.
