people seem to be counting on his mercy and prepared to count on it too much
its much as credit i suppose it seems easy money till you realise it needs to be repaid in full
your right about how many ways god gave us to clear our souls of sin but some become over confident untill they see its really serious stuff they been telling themselves and others
we can but try to show them the error of evil/sin but also we must be carfull not to judge others ,
wouldnt want to accuse any of gods angels or be judged ourselves now
in the end we are just responsable for our own sin
we cant change others only ourselves
luckilly god is mercifilled ,he knows what is in our heart
in truth he might just be seeing if you told/warned them and you did
thats all he can expect us to' try to do 'right.

I realize everyday the mercy He shows. I think others don't want to believe and therefore cut beliefs down because it is too easy to dismiss. It is a journey that we all should pursue, as God is everything. We get chance after chance yet some people ignore what Our Father has done for them, instead they call it science or fairytale.

given some of the questions and attitudes here...yes... God is really patient and longsuffering. Count all the people he isn't zapping away and patiently allowing time to repent

It's interesting God commands us not just to do mercy but to LOVE MERCY in Micah

what makes God tick anyhow? There was a book called "The End for which God created the world" which was reprinted with commentarty 5 or 6 years ago as "God's Passion for God's Glory" and the claim is the chief end of God is to glorify Himself and the chief means to that end is by showing mercy.

The Quran says it best. People say, "If God/Allah is so
powerful, why doesn't He fix things?"
But, "If He did send an angel, He would fix it RIGHT!" And there
would be a whole lot of sorry souls looking at the Fires of Hell.
Best to glad that our Creator is merciful and long-suffering. And has given us another day, and another opportunity to
get it right!

We are blessed to believe in God and have faith and hopefully we'll raise our children the same way we were. Other people are just ignorant and material, they only believe in what they can hold, taste and smell and do not really know what faith means.

you know its truly awsome how people can see the same words and understna them in COMPLETELY different ways.

personally I don't think a god that'd have a hell, or give only one way to be "redeemed" would count as merciful.

a truly merciful God would be infinitely forgiving.

and belive it or not, since everyone theoretically starts on the same foot, its just for everyone to get infinite forgiveness too, in the long run.

It's a lot easier to spout on about God's mercy when you're not on the receiving end of starvation.

Actually, dear, God has not given us "so many ways." The only way to cleanse ourself of sin and get to heaven is to confess with your tongue and believe it in your heart that Jesus Christ is the only Son of God.
