this tumor is on her leg, there isn't enough flesh to really operate she is really to old it would take the rest of her life to recover. I want to know how to make her comfortable, the vet talked about" quality of life" I don't want her to suffer.

Mast cell tumor's tend to metastisis rapidly. http://www.kateconnick.com/library/mastcelltumor.html read on this web site about them. Did the vet get any staging on this tumor? If it can be removed, it might be an option, but normally it has already metastisized before it is found.

Has your dog gone to the vet for this? Tumors can be benign or they can be cancerous. Only a vet is going to be able to tell you.

You should have the dog seen by your vet and have them remove the tumor. They will probably take a biopsy and send it out for results.

Is she acting like she's in pain? This is not something that you can "delay". If the tumor is cancerous, any delay on your part can be deadly for your dog. If it is detected early, it can be removed safely before the cancer has a chance to spread.

Your dog needs to go to the vet, asap, that's what you can do to help her. Best of luck.

Depends on where it is. Can the vet remove it? If she gets lethargic is one sign of pain. I would also check out vet websites.

Ask your vet. I'm surprised they didn't discuss it with you when your dog was diagnosed. Or did you diagnose yourself?

I think there's a hospital for pets--- veterinarians work there :)~ Take your dog to it.
