Blue as in cold. That means cold murder which is like killing a priest while hes praying. Or stapping an old grandpa whos sleeping or a little child or baby who cant defend himslef or herself. Its a sort of imagery like a metaphore or simillie depending how you use it.

To cry or shout blue murder summons up a picture of someone in fear or terror but not involved in an actual murder. The origin of this one is said to be a play on the French morbleu. where ‘bleu’ was a euphemism for ‘dieu’ - this occurs also in ‘sacré bleu’. The related to 'get away with blue murder' must have the same source, but has no overtones of fear or terror, merely good fortune. Blue is occasionally added to words to strengthen them, e.g. blue blazes, blue funk.

The most convincing explanation is that it is derived from the French oath "Morbleu!", which sounds very much like "mort bleue", which could be translated as "blue death". To scream blue murder means to emit an extravagantly loud outcry -- the kind of tone in which in former times the French might have yelled "Morbleu!"

I think she means that she'd protect you by taking a beating for you as 'black and blue' is a phrase that refers to the bruises got through a beating. Normally the word 'beat' or one of its forms are used but she hasn't here.
