We have searched the internet and came up with the meaning ´6´ in Egyptian. We also saw that the name is in use in Cambodia, but mostly as a surname.

We love the sound of the name and the ´global´ flavour of it. But we do not want to give her a name that has a foul taste to it in some language....

Sitah... this is a very old name. It started way back in the 1750 when a large group of people were making their way across what we know as California. Many of these people had nothing and spent most of the time walking forward. When the reached an area of trees that had been broken and beaten from a bad storm. One of these people saw the stree stump, went forward and sat. He smile, pointed to his pregnant wife and said, "Sitah". Now you know the rest of the story.

all i can see is if you invert that name you get 'Hates'. dude, you might like it for its 'global flavour' but put some thought into your child-to-come. will one really like a name like that. it's unique surely but remember, it's not easy to live with an uncommon name (unless their parents are bigshots like Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes - where in the world did they get the name Suri??)
