The Catholic Church is structured around the idea that they must out-breed all other religions. When NY State legalized abortion in 1970, the Catholic Church did not put up a big stink until they figured out that Catholics were having them at the same rate as everyone else. They thought that their rubes would obey and that would increase their numbers relative to the people having abortions. The Catholic Church forbids sex before marriage and refuses to allow birth control after marriage, with the message being, marry young and have as many children as possible for the Church. The previous response is a perfect example of the mentality of someone who swallows this line of crap.

The Roman Catholic Church objects to the use of condoms in the sexual act because they believe that every sexual act should have the possibility of procreation.

They do not object to "Vatican Roulette" however. Timing sexual acts around a female's most fecund time, i.e. two to four days after ovulation, or approximately 12 to 14 days after the onset of her last menstrual period, is acceptable to the R.C.Church.

Yes they do. Because you can only have sex to procreate and not for pleasure. If you wear condoms then you are having sex for pleasure. All birth control is condemned in the catholic church. Thats why Mother Theresa was in trouble with the church, because she gave out condoms in africa in AIDS torn countries.

Hi there, yes it does, condoms are viewed as preventing natural insemination and a prevention of life.
The church sees all life as Gods gift and life should not be sacrificed for mans pleasure, and by using birth control aids like condoms is in fact preventing new life in order to satisfy the sexual passions.

Yes.

Judeo-Christian tradition has taught for thousands of years:
1. Single people should be celibate.
2. Married people should be faithful to each other (adultery is wrong).
3. Married couples should welcome God's gift of children and, therefore, artificial birth control was against the will of God.

The Catholic Church recognizes the power of sex when it teaches, "Sexuality affects all aspects of the human person in the unity of his body and soul."

Chastity means the successful integration of sexuality within the person. A chaste person's body and spirit lives in unity and opposes any behavior that would impair that unity.

The purpose of sex is to bring a husband and wife closer and to create human life.

With love in Christ.

Yeah, what he said. The Catholic Church condemns all forms of birth control.

No. They only object to their use. That's because they want Catholics to make as many more Catholics as they can so that the church will have more supporters (read "money") and thus, thrive. Of course, this may sound a wee bit self serving. What do you think?

Yes because we do not sanction any artificial birth control and condoms are used primarily for extramarital sex. Which is also against Church teaching.

There are Jews in the world, there are Buddists,
There are Hindus and Mormons and then
There are those that follow Mohammad, but
I've never been one of them.

I'm a Roman Catholic,
And have been since before I was born,
And the one thing they say about Catholics is
They'll take you as soon as you're warm.

You don't have to be a six footer,
You don't have to have a great brain,
You don't have to have any clothes on,
You're a Catholic the moment Dad came, because

Every sperm is sacred,
Every sperm is great,
If a sperm is wasted,
God gets quite irate.

Every sperm is sacred,
Every sperm is great,
If a sperm is wasted,
God gets quite irate.

Let the heathen spill theirs,
On the dusty ground,
God shall make them pay for
Each sperm that can't be found.

Every sperm is wanted,
Every sperm is good,
Every sperm is needed,
In your neighborhood.

Hindu, Taoist, Morman,
Spill theirs just anywhere,
But God loves those who treat their
Semen with more care.

Every sperm is sacred,
Every sperm is great,
If a sperm is wasted,
God gets quite irate.

Every sperm is sacred,
Every sperm is good,
Every sperm is needed,
In your neighborhood.

Every sperm is useful,
Every sperm is fine,
God needs everybody's,
Mine, and mine, and mine.

Let the pagans spill theirs,
O'er mountain, hill and plain.
God shall strike them down for
Each sperm that's spilt in vain.

Every sperm is sacred,
Every sperm is good,
Every sperm is needed,
In your neighborhood.

Every sperm is sacred,
Every sperm is great,
If a sperm is wasted,
God gets quite irate.

NOTE: I am not a Catholic.
