Send part of your paycheck home to a bank account that you cant get to. This will ensure that you have a savings program.
Stay out of the bars period. Instead take advantage of that tuition assistance and get some education. This will help you in the civilian world as well as gaining promotion points.

Watch out for those prostitutes, especially if you're married. I've heard stories of men coming back with STD's. Other than that, just have fun, try to learn as much of the language and culture as you can, and take LOTS of pictures.
