I recently had to restore my Windows XP Computer using the Master CD I had created. I restored my XP Computer and now it is very slow to load. I can also not install or run new programs and when I try to install programs such as Adobe Acrobat, Internet Explorer 7 or any software I get the error message "
The instruction at "0 times symbol 00000000" referenced memory at " 0 times symbol 00000000". The memory could not be "read". Click OK to terminate program. I am really worried as I have deadlines to meet and I cannot install new software, create administarttors, delete cache etc
What on earth has gone wrong? Please Help me

How do I upgrade Memory? If this is the problem

I have Windows XP Pro. in both of my computers. On about one month ago the server in Beijing, China that is used to update an antivirus program I use did not download the program. Although in my tray I had a flashing icon saying that an automatic update was available. I went to the webpage an opened one of the three link to download manual.

The download was very slow. Upon completion, the file was loading to c://program files twister. (strange). My entire system crashed an I had the death of the blue screen. I was able to open my pc in a "safe mode", before the programs loaded and remove the entire antivirus program. All was fine after the removal of this antivirus program.

My suggestion for your problem, being that it is quite strange to say the least is to open "MY Computer". Open "C", Open "Tools", and check off run automatic file/folder check for errors. You will get another popup saying that your pc requires exclusive use to perform this task. Check off "fix errors". Then shut down your pc.

Now reload your pc, before any of your program load, Microsoft XP Prof., will perform a complete test of all your files/folders and hidden files to see if there is any error in your system files. If an error or errors are fine the system will fix them for you.

If your motherboard is bad then nothing is going to work. As for memory, I don't see where memory would have anything to do with the problem that you described. (You can only upgrade your memory with the purchase of an upgrade of your memory for about $40.00.

Sincerely hope this works for you. Really don't know what else I can tell you.

Excuse my english please.
