They know that they will be punished big time, if they help prove that religion is a hoax.

There are several different view points. Some believe in a very recent earth which you are referring to. Others would say that there were gaps (spans of time) between the days of creation which would explain an older earth. The idea that dinosaurs were here for millions of years before man has many flaws. First, how do you explain why the bones of humans have been found buried in the same layer of earth as dinosaurs if they lived millions of years before man? Second, problem I see with this theory is that they don't account for anything unusual happening on earth but everything continued a billion years ago as it is today. If you look at the research for dating the earth very old, they don't have any provisions for such things as a world wide floods, earthquakes, fires and ice age. Since there is no provisions for these or other things that might have happened on earth that we don't know about, how can this dating be accurate?

Bill Hicks (R.I.P.) did an excellent sketch on this, very amusing and to the point, like most of his stuff. Basically, they added up the ages of everyone in the Bible from Adam and Eve onwards, and it comes to 8000. Real scientific. People believe all sorts of sh*t though, if you believe something, think of all the time it saves you from actually thinking, time that could be better spent doing other stuff. Yeah, dinossaurs were here millions of years ago, although I don't trust science any more than religion, they could have got it a bit wrong, but millions of years compared to 8000? Unlikely. And I do think that one day science and religion might just suddenly agree. After all, the truth is the truth, religion thinks it knows, science also, but they have different views, so I guess neither of them are right, but one day we might just get there, and know what's going on in the universe. Mind you, I'd be just as happy if we all just agreed that we ain't got a f*cking clue really, and got on with our lives the best we knew how.

All you're doing is causing an argument. Science "says" millions of years old but science cannot prove their therory. Christians and Jews alike believe the "world" is not millions of years old. Some people believe in God and Creation, others believe in science and evolution. There will never be common ground between the two.
No one can prove beyond a shadow of doubt that there were ever "dinosaurs" roaming this Earth or that the Earth is "millions" of years old. Likewise, no one can prove that there is a God who created all that is.
Believe what you want to believe.
Test what you believe.

5767 years old to be precise. At least, according to the jews.
Why, oh why does everybody keep trying that daft argument about carbon dating? There are numerous methods of determining age and several are used together to corroborate each other. RC dating has a slight inaccuracy, perhaps as much as 500 years on prehistoric samples. However, since we're talking about up to 120 million years, the inaccuracy is microscopic. People think in terms of human timescales and 500 years is a lot. In astronomical terms, it's just a blink of the eye.
One religious argument is that the world was created 5765 years ago but as a fully going concern with a built in history. Trouble is, who then decides when the creation really took place. It might be 5 minutes ago. You previous memories could be part of that "ready built" world.
Xtians, of course, have to invent the idea of one second being 1000 years or so - again, no evidence to support it. It's just that they cannot bear to be found out as wrong - same as any other religion. Once a flaw is found the question arises, how much more is incorrect. That ineviatably leads to "Is any of it true". Tha answer of course is that none of them is true although there are certain small elements of each religion that MAY BE true. The only one we can be reasonably certain is false, is the very existence of God, Gods, Goddess, Goddessses, Demons, Devils, Angels, Archangels, Princedoms, Powers, Cherbubim, Seraphim et. al.

Because the world is around 8,000 years old. People who believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, will agree that the Bible is true from cover to cover. You cannot pick and choose. If you trace the geneaologies beginning from Genesis, you will discover the world to be 6-8000 years old. The dinasours did not die out before man was created. They co-existed. Remember, death did not enter the world before sin entered the world, and sin entered the world through Adam and Eve. In fact, if you read Job 40 and 41 in the Old Testament, you will see that what Job is describing is very possibly a dinasour. Man does not want to give God the credit for Creation, and in many cases mankind does not even want to admit to the existence of God. For if God really exists, then man will truly be held accountable to Him for their lives.

Gen.1:1,2 All existed before the earth became a focus for habitation, many billions of years had to be, then getting all perfect for habitation took a long time to the animals.
The animals have nothing to do with the world. They were in the earth long before man, the world is from Adam to now 6,072 from all LOST in Eden, but salvation of man and earth, heavens and angels is done in the Rev.20:1-6,12,13 1000 year reign of Christ to make all as perfect as it was before it was LOST in Eden.
It can be said that dinosaurs go back millions of years, but 20,000 year old bones in a billion year old soil, who can truthfully tell the age.
The bible is from all LOST to all SAVED.

Its funny that before Egyptians and earliest Hebrew writings we cannot find any documents to pre-date human history or civilizations. Carbon dating is not exact anyway from what i have read. Science is always attempting to prove things. Like fossils, it take sudden event, and lots of pressure to make oil..... even an asteroid could cause global disaster, but the weight of water drowning most of life on earth and it coming suddenly killing and pressing down on plants and other vegetation possibly caused the oil reservoirs we have. Science does not accept the flood theory and thus rejects how the earth was made which may account for the days of men numbered in the bible.

All Christians know that a million years is like one to God. This being so multiply 8000 yrs by God's time 1000 000 and you get 8000 000 000 yrs and that is the approximate age of the world. so see the Jews are right after all = Do not put Jehovah in a box He is both far too big and far too small as well, don't even try to fathom this our brains cannot begin to even understand God LOL!!!

Why do you assume that the scientists have got it right? A lot of carbon dating has proved to be well..... not quite right. It is based on a human assumption, pretty much like the ones made by the Jews!
Me? I am happy to go with the one day in the life of a man is but a blink in the day of God theory ;but until I die and know for sure I am not not going to slag anybody off!

Why do you say dinosaurs were here for millions of years when the world is only 8000 years old?
