Depends on what you mean by worship. Worship as it is taught today has nothing to do with what the Bible says. Today Christians get together and sing songs and clap their hands and call it a worship service. There is no such a thing as a worship service in the Bible nor is music ever equated with worship.
Worship in the Bible had to do with only one thing. The first mention of worship in the Bible was when Abraham was walking towards Mt Moriah and he said to his servant, "you remain here and I and the lad will go yonder and we will worship and will come again to you." What was Abaham goin to do up on that mountain? Strum a guitar and sing chorsus? He was going up there to do one thing, sacrifice his son, which he called worship. Throughout the Bible worship is always associated with sacrifice. God's worth to us is demonstrated by what we are willing to sacrifice for Him. In scripture worship is connected in Rom 12:1 with the idea of sacrifice. "Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. Also we read in Hebrews 9:9 '...which is a symbol for the present time. Accordingly both gifts and sacrifices are offered which cannot make the worshiper perfect in conscience"
How much God is worth to you is demonstrated by what you are willing to sacrifice for Him. This is an issue that all of us must deal with on our journey of faith throughout our lives. Just how much is He worth to you. Will you sacrifice your time for Him, your money, your abilities, your life? Sooner or later we come to realize that it is only when we lay it all on the altar for Him that we can understand all that he has given for us.

Bonsai Bobby gave you a very good answer. Can I share one anecdote (I know, i know, it's not proof) of when I believe God was directing me rather than my own reasoning? I was having some health issues that were endocrine-related. The specialist offered me a medicine to alleviate some symptoms. But he asked if I planned on having more children; at 37, with one healthy child out of 3 pregnancies, I had decided "never again." He said if I became pregnant with a boy while taking the medicine, it would have "tragic results" for the baby because of the effect on male hormones. I thought, "Well, why not? I'm not getting pregnant again." Suddenly this feeling came over me--so strong it was physical--that was very clearly saying NO! I could not bring myself to take the medicine, but had no idea why. Just felt God was telling me not to. Three months later I conceived my son. If I had gone by my own best use of logic and reason, that medicine would have already been in my system for quite a while when he was conceived. Make of that what you will.

Every church service I go to, I go to worship God not because I think it is my duty to go to church. While giving God praises I always feel God's wonderful presence. I know it God's presence because there is no other feeling like it. The unbelieving world can never experience that kind of joy.

Ask any Psychiatrist. A continuous need for worship is a sign of an ego problem.

We get to know anyone by spending time with them to develop a relationship...getting to know God is no different really.
Just think about when a teen "worships" a rock group or has a famous person they adore...they spend time playing that groups songs over and over and learning the lyrics...and they might have pictures of the famous person hung all over their room and see every movie the person appears in many times over.
God has a special song that He wants to sing through each of us....He is crazy about every one of His children and there is a different song in each of us that He is trying to release inside of us so that we can be blessed and be a blessing to the world.
It is only as we get to know Him that He can work effectively in our lives...because we have to build trust...just like in any relationship. The more trust we build with Him, the more He can work in us to bring out everything He created us to be. If you look at creation...you can see His heart....No two leaves on any tree are exactly the same...to Him, that is perfection. And His perfection in us is that none of us is exactly like another...we are all similiar in our humanity...but unique in our expression.
As I worship HIm...get to know Him...I can become more and more beautiful and precious in His sight...because I will become like whatever I worship....and when I worship Him, I become more of what He created me to be...and He created all of us to be a reflection of love....His love.
We all need Him and we need each other...whether we realize it or not....because the beauty of His creation will be a little less if you are not a part of it....and if I am not a part of it. We are all a tiny piece of the whole puzzle....and we all belong to one another and to Him. We all have a little of the answer to life. That is why it is so important not to exclude anyone...to love others as we love ourselves....and to love Him most of all, because He is the only one who is really worthy of worship.
