hates her name. what do you suggest to make her like it

Tell her its a really unique name, and it makes her what she is (which is special) do some research and find someone who your daughter would think was cool with the same name and tell her about it. I think telling her she can change it would be odd, because your name is your identity to an extent. Plus paige is a pretty name...

My 14 year old is named Paige well Jordin Paige and she hates it as well says it reminds her of a piece of paper. I have explained to her many times that she was given her name for a good reason but she still hated it. We finally told her that she could decide what her nickname would be and we would address her as that but for school records she had to use it until she was 18 and then she could earn her own money and change it. It worked for her she decided she wanted to be called Kat ( why I have no idea ) so family and friends refer to her as that and now we don't hear the complaints all the time.

Go on the internet and look up the name paige, find the history of the name and find famous people that had the same name, maybe she will realize one day that the importance of the name is not as special as the person that has the name.

Tell her if she really don't like it she can change it by deed pole when she's 18 but until then would she rather use her middle name?
Has she got a pet name u call her sometimes? if so does she mind that and maybe you could call her that all the time.
I hated my name as a child but i grew out of it and then didn't care at all about it hopefully the same thing will happen with Ur daughter

i dont think theres a way to make her like it, make up a nick name for her, something she may like...i think paige is a sweet name, most kids hate the names they were given, she'll grow out of it

Say its a sweet name and only pretty, special girls are called paige because its an important name. if she is young if she is older tell her she can change it when shes older. xx
