i am on alow fat food diet ,but most low fat foods are high in sugar content.

Because the early theory was that fat caused fat. Now we know differently. But they had to make it taste good, so they used sugar. But you're right, it takes some effort to eat things we like and watch our intake.

If you have only fat, carbohydrate and protein to choose from when formulating your low fat food, plus you have to meet regulations governing low fat foods, you are forced to make them high in sugar content.

my guess, lowfat foods dont taste so great, so manufacturers add sugar to make it taste better. If you are worried about sugar, i would suggest making your own food. That way you know how much sugar or salt is in it.

I think it is high in artificial sugar...not natural...thus it is low fat and preserve the sweet taste...
