Pentecostals are to the best of my understanding people who have accepted the bible to the best of their understanding to be true and factual. They accept it and believe it and are free in spiritual matters. They are not locked into believing any thing outside the bible as spiritual content. They walk in the power of the Holy Spirit and have the gifts and fruits of the Holy spirit. They know the forgiveness of God and are able to walk in peace with their creator.
Their is a level of learning that goes along with Pentecostalism but salvation does not come from the denomination of church you belong to but to the God you belong to and the forgiveness you have received from His Son

i myself am a christian but i go to a pentecost church ,being a pentecostal it does not mean u r white or bakc or u r from this nationality .
The Pentecostal Church is a Protestant Christian denomination which grew out of the "holiness movement" swept across various Christian communities early in the 20th century. There are two basic things which characterize Pentecostal churches and differentiate them from other Protestant groups: the first is the belief in a "Baptism of the Spirit" and the second is a belief in resultant charismata ("Gifts of the Spirit," like speaking in tongues).
Belief in both is derived from the story in Acts 2 when the apostles were visited by the Holy Spirit. Today, unusual practices like speaking in tongues, faith healing and ecstatic experiences are characteristic of Pentecostal services. ,

We Pentecostal Christians, are (what the non Christians call the HOLEY ROLLERS), It comes from the baptism of the Holy Ghost. with the evidance of speaking in toungs (forigan languages, which we do not know).Or as Jesus said he would send the (comforter) to his followers. It is in the King James Bible in the (ACTS) of the Apostles. Where they were all gathered in worshiping, and praying to God in one accord, and God sent them the baptism of the HOLY GHOST: This was proof of Gods comforter, because each man there was (a Messianic Jew),but they all spoke Hebrew. However when the Holy Ghost came upon them, each person was praising God in a language ,that none of the Apostles knew how to speak. There were people watching that were amazed at hearing the Gospel preached in the language that they understood. Even though the Apostles preaching the Gospel did not know that language: This is what was,and is called (PENTECOST) when the gift of the Holy Ghost is given to a follower of God,by Jesus Christ.
The Penticostal churches do not believe in women wearing jewlery,or slacks,or shorts. Pentocostal women are to not cut their hair either,as this is considered the womans covering, that God has given her. No cursing,no drinking, and no smoking. Keeping both the spirit (soul) and body clean of sin.

Pentecostalism places emphasis on the gifts of the Holy Spirit, as related to the day of Pentecost, when the Spirit came down on the Apostles.
It is similar to the Charismatic movement, and both are heavily imbued with the feel good factor.
It came from by way of Methodism and and entails a ceremony where one is baptised in the Spirit, and they believe that this provides them and enables them to speak in tongues.
a persons colour is not a factor in this movement, as long as you are christian and protestant you can become a pentecostalist.

You have many Denominations with the Pentacost name on their door, You have trinity pentacost, oneness pentacost, , But TRUE PENTASCOST Is an EXPERENCE WITH GOD, & not a Denomination. On the day of Pentacost, which also means 50, Therefore 50 days after Christ was Crucified until the Holy Ghost came back to dwell in his people. In Acts Chapter 2 explians it very clrealy, They went to the upper room After Christ acened to Heaven & waited 10 days, So the word Pentacostal really means an experence with God which is receiveing the Holy Ghost & the seal of God. I am Apostolic Pentacostal, myself, I don't belong to no denomination, Yes I belong to a Church, But it is Indepentent, We don't have no membership book to put our names on, You speak about These girls wear Skirts, In the Pentacostal believe they believe it is wrong for a woman to were pants & dress like a man in any way & also to not indulge in any Extreme Jewelry, nor painted toes or finger nails, they believe in presently their Body to God as a LIVING sacifice, That does not mean a sacrifice to be offer up to God on the alter But in God's eyes if we dress reasonable, that makes them In a spiritual term a sacrifice where they have laid the worldy things down & pick up the spiritual things of God. Many Pentacostal also believes a woman to have long hair, Now with myself, I do believe a woman can cut her hair & even trim it, but to a reasonable cutting, This is one thing that the Denomination of Pentacost fail to see, Some woman hair can not grow long, therefore they then try to condeme that person, I don't Because it is in her heart to have long hair, but can not grow it. My wife has long hair down to her waist, But if it needs to be trim & cut, then my wife has a enough sense to know where to stop at. I do not sit there with a measuring tape to measure her hair. I hope this helps you some.

Penticostalsare among the newer denominations.. At firtst they thought that if you did not speak in tongues you were not saved but I think they figured out that is not true now. Still if you do not speak in tongues in their church you will never be in the in crowd They have lotsa time singing great songs and worshipping. Sermons from what I observed are often out of the OT and many donot cut the womans hair. I liked them a lot but the are short on intellictuals and high on childlike people. If their pastor is on the ball it can be a good chuch. If they think you got saved in their chuch and then baptist then you will br family there, good luck

Being Jewish--------this is something I will always remember about the Pentecostals. Where I use to live, they constantly passed out pamphlets, and once around Easter time, there were stories of how Jews still slaughter lambs and cover themselves in blood for Passover. At lest, it is not like they use to say, we killed a Christian child to use his blood. They are very bigoted, I think, and are more than mis-informed.

Pentacostalism started 100 years ago this year. In 1901 a man named Charles Fox, using a woman Agnes Osman, coached her into a psychic experience in which she started to babble in unintelligible sounds accompanied by euphoric feelings. Charles Fox declared that this was "tongues" as had happened at Pentacost 2,000 years earlier at the beginning of the church as taught in the Book of Acts in the Bible. This phenomana caught on in 1906 in what is known as the Azuza Street Revival and the Pentacostal church started centered on this experience. Down to the 1950s or so Pentacostal churches were pretty "Mickey Mouse" sort of churches, with really extrememe people and not taken too seriously but a number of years later it spread into what is called the Charaismatic Movement and really took off. Today Pentacostalism is the fastest growing denomination in Christianity probably because people are drawn to the experiences, and emotionalism. Although in the last years many have tried to adjust the Bible to make their experiences fit in, it really is no more Biblical today than it was 100 years ago.
In the Bible Tongues was a suoernatural power from God to be able to speak in languages that they had never know before to communicate the truth of God. That is not the case in Pentacostalism. No one is able to go and speak to someone who knows no English in their own language without haveing learned it. .
