Yes, i've heard many answers as to running, and weight loss could reduce the size of the calves. But I've been observing, that most pro basketball players, NBA players, etc have lean calves, but their upper body are big and bulky. How do they maintain their muscle mass and still have thin and lean calves?

well, again, if you have large muscle mass on upperbody, when you run, you make your calves bigger. It's basically weight training, so doubt it's running.

Start running. Seriously, the NBA players have large upper bodies because they are basketball players. The run and get lean calves. They lift weight to be stronger in their upper body.. Throw the ball farther, shoot faster. All upper body. Running has NOTHING to do with the upper body. Trust me. My track coach has sticks for legs. You run with your LEGS hence calves.

Run.

Running literally eats your calves, so to keep them proportionate with the rest of your body you should do strength excercises to build them up.

Depends on how much fat is on them. Seriously.... losing weight is not a selective process. You lose it everywhere there is fat. If you are overweight, just cut your carbs and fats. Exercise daily. That's it.
