Last night my girlfriend asked me the following question. If we where in a club together and I went to the toilet. When I came back a guy was asking her for her number. What would I do. I had had a lot to drink last night and I didn't answer the question. What is the best way to answer it. Thanks for the help

Well blokes will try... that's not her fault. And even if she gave him her number, he could be a long lost cousin!!

I read somewhere that if someone asks you a question you are not comfortable with, then you should ask "Why are you asking me this?"...

PS. The right answer is whatever is true for you. What would you do? That's what she wants to know. Though I would ask her why she's asking something like that.

A person that gives out phone numbers while in a relationship, is not ready for commitment. She is testing your reaction on the subject. She is either thinking of doing it or has done it already. Other point is she mite be testing your loyalty to her. Do you get jealous. Defend your territory mate! There's many sharks out there. Make her understand you don't like it!

A) if she loves you she would have told him to take a running jump!

B) if she gave it to him you would dump her.

C) it's not the fellas fault, he may not have known you'd gone to the loo, and therefore forget about him and!

D) if she went to the loo and a girly asked for your number are you sure that you wouldn't have given it, if your'e not then she isn't the right girl for you anyway.

all hypothetical, after all it could happen to you both at work, all depends on the trust you have between each other i.e. no trust, no relationship!

This sounds like a chick mindgame.
Say.."I would lend him my pen to write your number down."
And then I would start distancing myself.

To me this would be a red flag.
Still see the chick but see others also.
Don't blow two years stuck with little miss hypothetical.

Don't drive yourself nuts over this.
The chicks a troublemaker.
She might just get you in a confrontational situation to boost her own ego.

if she has no sense of trust in a relationship- you should give him the number and let her go.

It would be up to her to deal with the situation unless the bloke was physically or verbally aggressive towards her!

attention seeking and insecure or what? i couldn't spend time with someone that came up with questions like that- i would be so bored.

Do as I do when my wife asks me a question. Ask her,"what is the right answer?" Because we men almost never give the right answer so it is better to ask her what the right answer is.

that's not really a fair question. if you were to say you'd beat the guy up, she might get mad because you were jealous. if you were to say you'd do nothing, because you trust her, she might get mad because you WEREN'T jealous. i think those kinds of loaded questions are just asking for trouble and it's good you didn't answer, and hopefully she won't ask again. i think the best answer would be "i wouldn't have to do anything because you would have told him to get lost"

I wouldn't let her bait me like that. Just smile. That would be her time to prove to you that she knows how to act like a lady on a date with you. And not the other way around, trying to get you to fight the guy or something.

he can ask that's fine........her giving him the number is a different thing entirely! You can't blame a guy for trying to chat up a pretty girl when she is alone, you can blame your girl if she doesn't fob him off quickly and politely - wether your thier or not

Well! Tell your girlfriend to give that person your number. Because you are the one through he has to go. You are on the driver's seat so you are number one priority for her. Others are just back seat passengers.
