What's important isn't the size of the planet per se, but our position relative to everything else in the solar system and galaxy. If we were any closer to or farther away from the sun, we would either scorch or freeze. The planet's size is just big enough for us to not be unduly weighted down by gravity, yet big enough and with enough of a gravitational pull to hold our atmosphere in place and keep natural and manmade structures firmly on the planet's surface and stabilized--think about how hard this could be on a planet the size of Jupiter (if Jupiter were solid) and we were either crushed by the weight of the atmosphere or couldn't move because of the intense gravitional pull. Assuming that the planet were larger yet we were in the same orbital path and distance from the sun, the planet would have to spin much faster to keep all parts of the planet at a temperature conducive to life. This then could affect tides, which could have severe effects on the weather were the same proportion of the planet covered in water yet the size of Jupiter. Bottom line, the size of the planet is just right and is part of such an intricately designed universe that were conditions to change just a little, it would make life as we know it impossible to exist. God knew exactly what He was doing.

Ever hear of Goldilocks and the three bears? It's like that... This planet is "just right". It's situated in the Milkyway in just the perfect spot, has just the right distance from the sun to allow liquid water (a rarity in th universe) just the right size to have the gravity it does, just the right tilt for the seasons... and much more if you really study the subject. It's perfect! Just the right size to work out our salvation...

In biological and physical terms, yes, we are nothing. But the human intelect is very special.
Human is the only being who has the right to choose between right and wrong, good and bad.
To me, it is the most precious given talent from God in comparation with other being such as animal.
Galaxy and the palnets, they are big in size, but they dont make choises.

1 Chronicles 28:9 - And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.
