from what i have read they ate it, what do you think? are there any verses that dispute this i only know the verses that say they did

Yes, I think they were eaten. I don't recall any verses saying otherwise.

Y'know, that's a great question. I always thought that if they ATE IT, what was the "sacrifice" they were making? Doesnt it seem that to "sacrifice" something would be to give it up? To go without? OK, that being said, there's also the term "burnt offering" which would make more sense to me as a "sacrifice" if they burned it all up and didnt get to eat any.

I'm sure they did, food was scarce back then, and other religions that use animal sacrifice see no reason not to eat the animal just for that reason
