I found myself frequently wrong in my beliefs on many other things.

Please read my words carefully:
If you see footmark in the sand, you'll say that someone passed from here...
If you see a piece of dog sh*t on the ground, you'll say that a dog passed from here...
So what about the enormous universe, the sky, stars, planets, earth and all the beauty in it, doesn't it lead to that someone made it?!!!

Some people say that everything is created by itself after the big-bang... I won't ask you about what caused the big-bang, but I'll ask you a simple question:
If you take all the letters of the alphabet, multiples of them, and you threw them randomly on the floor. Do you expect (by a chance of one in infinity) to get a poem like shakespear's??!!

Can't you see how organized our universe is, the planets, the eco-system on earth, look even in your own body... Can you control your heart-beat? Can you control your breath while you're sleeping? Who stopped your eye-lashes from growing after reaching a certain length? Who told the baby turtles to move towards the sea and not to the earth after they come out of their eggs? Who taught the bird how to make nests?

My friend, think with your heart and brain. If you're still lost, think about the following:

Do you know how to play safe?
Your point:
If there's no God and you do all what you want in life, then nothing will happen to you after life. But if there was God and you were mistaken, then you'll blame yourself FOREVER...

Believer's point:
If there's God and I followed His commands in life, then I'll be in Heaven after life FOREVER. But if there was no God and we're mistaken, then nothing bad will happen to us after life...

Now you know how to play-safe, in case you're not convinced?

There are moral absolutes that exist. They have to come from somewhere. So ONE of the beliefs about the existence of God is right and the rest HAVE to be wrong. You simply can't have your cake and eat it too. With that said, I would say it's NOT okay to believe in God and think you might be wrong. You might as well just say you DON'T believe in God. You either do or you don't. Lukewarm isn't good for bath water, and it's not good for beliefs either.

AS long as You believe in God its OK!
B'cos nobody can ever be sure, what the Right thing is because we are have finite senses and finite understanding of the Great God.
Be Good & Do Good.

maybe i can help you firevista2003@yahoo.com

but by studying Gods commandments you learn what is right and wrong according to God. So then you are understanding his personality. You know more of his personality by observing how he treated and taught and disciplined the people of Israel and other nations. Your understanding will be much clearer.

It is best to check which areas of your wrong understanding with a trustworthy and knowledgable religious figure. It is wise to have doubts and clarify it and move on more meaningful in life about God.

sure. I feel that religion should be an internal struggle, not a public one like organized religion. I fell that if you live your life as a good human being, then (if there is a God), he will respect the fact that you had no way of knowing which religion to join

Well..I don't think it's OK to belive in God with an understanding that this might be wrong...Why?Just because you need to belive in something without any doubt....otherwise...you don't belive....you just admire....
I don't say that you need to be a fanatic....or an negativist....but beliving without asking why may be a good thing....and maybe God will help you discover why...

One has to believe in GOD there is no doubt about it. But with understanding only few recognize ONLY ONE GOD.

THINK ABOUT IT:

Can They (human gods of all other religions, except Islam) Create a Fly?
http://www.submission.org/suras/sura22.html
73. O people, here is a parable that you must ponder carefully: the idols you set up beside GOD can never create a fly, even if they banded together to do so. Furthermore, if the fly steals anything from them, they cannot recover it; weak is the pursuer and the pursued.

74. They do not value GOD as He should be valued. GOD is the Most Powerful, the Almighty.

75. GOD chooses from among the angels messengers, as well as from among the people. GOD is Hearer, Seer.

76. He knows their past and their future. To GOD belongs the ultimate control of all matters.

77. O you who believe, you shall bow, prostrate, worship your Lord, and work righteousness, that you may succeed.

Messiah is the other name of prophet Jesus (peace be upon him).

Today's Christianity Not Jesus' Religion? Everyone will agree. Then why they are following FALSE HOPE?
http://www.submission.org/suras/sura5.ht...
[5:72] Pagans indeed are those who say that GOD is the Messiah, son of Mary. The Messiah himself said, "O Children of Israel, you shall worship GOD; my Lord and your Lord." Anyone who sets up any idol beside GOD, GOD has forbidden Paradise for him, and his destiny is Hell. The wicked have no helpers.
[5:73] Pagans indeed are those who say that GOD is a third of a trinity. There is no god except the one god. Unless they refrain from saying this, those who disbelieve among them will incur a painful retribution.
[5:74] Would they not repent to GOD, and ask His forgiveness? GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful.

[5:75] The Messiah, son of Mary, is no more than a messenger like the messengers before him, and his mother was a saint. Both of them used to eat the food. Note how we explain the revelations for them, and note how they still deviate!
5:76] Say, "Would you worship beside GOD powerless idols who can neither harm you, nor benefit you? GOD is Hearer, Omniscient.

How many of you believe that Mary is the mother of God?
NOT the true believers. True believers including all the 1.6 Billions Muslim present on the phase of the planet and all the creatures of the ONLY ONE GOD. Mary (peace be upon her PBUH) is the mother of prophet Jesus (peace be upon him).

This is the how GOD describes HIMSELF in HOLY QURAN chapter 112.

[112:0] In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

[112:1] Proclaim, "He is the One and only GOD.

[112:2] "The Absolute GOD.

[112:3] "Never did He beget. Nor was He begotten.

[112:4] "None equals Him."

NO ONE can challenge this. Except ISLAM, all other religions on the phase of this planet including their so called human gods cannot fit in this category.

GOD will proclaim, "This is a day when the truthful will be saved by their truthfulness?
http://www.submission.org/suras/sura5.ht...
[5:116] GOD will say, "O Jesus, son of Mary, did you say to the people, `Make me and my mother idols beside GOD?' " He will say, "Be You glorified. I could not utter what was not right. Had I said it, You already would have known it. You know my thoughts, and I do not know Your thoughts. You know all the secrets.
[5:117] "I told them only what You commanded me to say, that: `You shall worship GOD, my Lord and your Lord.' I was a witness among them for as long as I lived with them. When You terminated my life on earth, You became the Watcher over them. You witness all things.
[118] "If You punish them, they are Your constituents. If You forgive them, You are the Almighty, Most Wise."
[119] GOD will proclaim, "This is a day when the truthful will be saved by their truthfulness." They have deserved gardens with flowing streams. They abide therein forever. GOD is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him. This is the greates triumph.

Gross Blasphemy?
http://www.submission.org/suras/sura19.h...

[19:88] They said, "The Most Gracious has begotten a son"!

[19:89] You have uttered a gross blasphemy.

[19:90] The heavens are about to shatter, the earth is about to tear asunder, and the mountains are about to crumble.

[19:91] Because they claim that the Most Gracious has begotten a son.

[19:92] It is not befitting the Most Gracious that He should beget a son.

[19:93] Every single one in the heavens and the earth is a servant of the Most Gracious.

[19:94] He has encompassed them, and has counted them one by one.

[19:95] All of them will come before Him on the Day of Resurrection as individuals

Based on faith where you work it out in your own head to want to believe.
