a unanimous decision is where there is agreement for all involved in a panel (usually judges in sports) on the final outcome and there is no disagreement as to who the winner is.
the same also goes for the judicial system when a jury debates the fate of someone on trial, where everyone agrees on the final vedict without a doubt.

Using boxing as an example, if a fight is not stopped for a TKO or outright KO then the decision as to who wins the fight goes to the judges. If there are 3 judges and 2 of them pick one fighter and the third picks the other as winner than that's called a split decision. If all three pick one fighter as the winner than it's called a unanimous decision.

I guesss you must be referring to Boxing. A 'unanimous decision', occurs when the officials (always 3) all score the fight to the same boxer.
Unanimous decision - 3 officials vote for the same fighter.
Majority decision - 2 officials vote the same, and 1 scores the fight even (draw).
Split decision - 2 officials vote for 1fighter, with the other official scoring the fight in the opponents favour.
Hope this helps?
