There's nothing wrong with a Bible in the hand, as long as you are not beating me over the head with it or making my ears bleed with relentless gospelizing that you feel good about sharing, but can't quite find the time to apply it to your own life.
The Bible, like any other good book, is best when read for your own sake and not forced on others not ready or willing for it.
