It wasn't exactly a cheap drop... On the back it says that "this product may contain fish products". How do fish products get into wine?

Some wine-makers use 'isinglass' to clarify their wines, that is, remove colloidal particles of yeast and must prior to bottling. Other wine-makers use other kinds of gelatins.
Isinglass is collagen/gelatin which is gathered from fish stomachs.
It is also extensively used in beer-making.

Most of the time when you read a label like this - the manufacturer is trying to make extra certain that someone who has an allergy or issue with fish products would not try to sue them over their allergic reaction. Lawsuits cost millions of dollars so if they even have a fish factory next door or down the street or manufacture the wine in a facility that also processes fish products or even if it's nearby where that is being done -they have to do everything possible to protect themselves. If someone tries to sue because they got sick from fish allergy and they have the label on there - then they can say that they were responsible in reporting the possiblity so that they are not liable. It is highly possible that they were once sued over something like this so they have to make sure it can't happen again. The stupidest lawsuits happen everyday over the most ridiculous things. There are people who make a killing off of trying to pull off lawsuits.

There is some specific part of the fish which is used in wine making. I forget what part, maybe the swim bladder, and I recollect that it is used to filter the wine, clarify it or remove sediment.

You need to change brands. I know that eggs whites are often used to remove sediments from wines. But fish just sounds a cheap and dirty route.
