I know that when you drink it, it burns the tissue.
I would assume that injecting it would cause the veins to burn and likely deteriorate pretty quickly.

I actually researched this after watching the film, "Party Monster."
Drano is essentially a poison, specifically an alkalis, which includes drain cleaners, bleach, ammonia, lye, or oven cleaners.
It wouldn't necessarily be as gruesome as one might imagine(with foam building up and bursting the veins and flesh) only because human veins and plumbing pipes are two very different components, but the effects are nonetheless fatal and destructive.
Once poison is injected, it becomes a lethal weapon, first taking on the organs, then stopping all muscle movement including the heart.

You'd die. Draino is a basic substance- the opposite of an acid. It eats away fat cells. If you ever get any on your hand, you'll notice that your hand will start to get slippery. That's liquified fat that the draino created. So you could imagine what it would do inside your body.
On the other hand, your veins would be totally clog free.

was watching death row stories and one of the familys asked why not just use draino after watching their son go through a hour and fifteen minute death from leathul injection. they were mad at the facility involved. they used a newtype of drug that left him fighting to breath.

Drano is poison. Injecting into the body or ingesting it via the gastro-intestinal system could cause death. The government would pick up the cost of any hospital charges as well as look after any survivors.

I'm sure that as it is a poison, it would kill you. It would probably destroy you heart. or liver.
