Evidence that a Jesus ever existed?

1. There is NO PROOF a Jesus ever existed not even as a man. Ask your local historian he will tell you as well. ALL writings were decades or centuries AFTER his death. That is NO PROOF. Many were proven pious frauds. Heck, Josephus was a Pagan til the day he died.
2. Jesus never wrote a single word of his own..why? Because he was created by St. Paul....perfect because then there is no body to discredit story of Jesus disappearing up to heaven.
3. There is NO family line of Jesus. That is funny since you think we would be bragging about it in the family line forever.
4. NO TOMB of Jesus. Funny, they must have misplaced it...lol
5. NO pictures, carvings, or descriptions of Jesus. (You think they would have made sure everyone knew what he looked like seeing as he was the 'king'.
There is NO PROOF Jesus ever existed even as a man.

There are historical records outside of the Bible from that time that speak of Jesus.

Why do I believe Jesus existed and exists?

1.The Bible has been written and rewritten for thousands of yrs. It started before the time of Christ. It is the only book we have found the early manuscripts and has been dauntlessly confirmed. No other writings can make this claim.
2. There are many authors. I believe in the 50 some. That have written the Bible over thousands of years and all in unity with one another. Many of these authors died a horrible death in persecution of the times and recorded in history.
3.Family line of Jesus. We know he had half brothers. James, and John. But then how many descendants can claim anyone back that far. The Jews are trying to trace individuals back to the line of Levites for Priest hood and struggle with that.
4.No tomb. We are excavating daily new findings. Many of these sites sit under towns today and therefore hard to dig or recover. Maybe some day we will find the tomb.
5. Pictures of Jesus as if cameras were around the corner everywhere. In fact none existed. He was rejected as a King of this earth then and today. But will return and establish not only his Kingship, but his Lordship.
6.Many secular writers have written about Jesus existence. But they like many today just do not believe he is the Son of God. They even wrote about his miracles and some about the cross.
7.Yes, I believe Jesus has stood the test of time. We believe in many other things that do not have near the documentation that Jesus has and yet we reject Jesus. I think one should make a personal study of history before making a claim of non-existence of Jesus. I also can say emphaticly. I know, I know that Jesus lives, because he lives within my heart.

Your question is corroborating evidence that you don't know your history too well. How do you know that the Pharaohs ever existed ? Other than what is translated by the pictures the Egyptians used as their writing ? There are written accounts of Jesus Christ written in other books other than the Bible. The Romans kept a record of many census counts during their reign over Israel. If Jesus did not exist, neither did anybody else during that time. Including Pontious Pilot or Herod the great.

That's convincing. One problem, though; the Romans were meticulous record keepers. While it is true that there are no records of Jesus' birth or no markings of him on census records, there is a record of an execution of a man named Jesus in Galilee around the time the Bible said Jesus died. Now, that can be argued as coincidence, and it probably is, but to the faithful, that is concrete proof.

Yes, I agree that the myth about the man has far exceeded the man himself, and yes, I will give it to you that a lot of the things attributed to him were added after the fact. But, that's not the point of this debate.

If you are convinced that Jesus truly didn't exist, then nothing I can say will sway you. So, I will not try. But, I will ask you this as food for thought: in two thousand years, how will they prove that you existed?

There is actually vast amounts of evidence in both religious and secular records of the existence of Jesus

you are wrong there are many records of Jesus as not just in the bible roman records by historians of the time as well. but Jesus is still used as a name so your statment is crazy. you mean the Masiah Yeshua and yes there is more evidance for him than many historical figures. there is a church now built where the tomb is. and Jesus is still alive and living within those who accept him. you need to look more deeply and not be biased.

You are mistaken, there are numerous proofs. Most of the New Testament was written during the lifetime of witnesses but even outside the Bible there are numerous reports of the life of Jesus. The most notible would be the Jewish historian Josephus who wrote about him. He even reported that there were hundreds of people who have reported seeing Him after the crucifixion.
