Can sombody explain the colour coding, i.e. black - neutral, red/brown - live, green earth, in India
I guess that this is what it should be, but if I am wrong please tell me. I have to change a plug on a roti maker.

Red, Yellow and Blue for Live.
Black for neutral and
Green for Earthing.
But make sure same colour philosophy is maintained in your house wiring. Otherwise you will land in trouble.

My Cleiling Fan has 2 fire...and i need to connect with current fitting. There are 3 wires coming from ceiling: Yellow, Black and Green. Please let me know which 2 wires i need to use ?

Red - Live
White - Neutral
Green - Ground
And if I am wrong then you just shorted out your roti maker
