Why should people who complain about illegals have to march? The illegals are here illegally and should be held responsible for getting their citizenship on their own. The American people who are complaining are doing so because the government is not doing anything about it. Any other illegal act done by anyone else and the government would be involved asap. It does not take a march to do something that is already in the legal system.

We don't have to march to be effective. There have been attempts for smaller marches but the pro-illegal group has shown up and caused too many problems. No one wants violence and unfortunatly that seems to be what they want. Why can't the pro-illegal butt out and allow the other side to peacefully meet? They are constantly causing chaos at the simplest of meetings. Bussing people in to protest at a town meeting? Lazy is not what we are. Far from it. But you guys go ahead and rally all you want because with scenes like you all put on...........you're hanging yourself.

Marching the streets is kind of preaching to the choir. It's also a sensitive subject and a protest the wrong way could make the anti immigrant sympathizers seem like a bunch of hickish oafs.

There's a big pro-america rally once a year, it's called the '4th of July parade'
Um, we also 'vote'. Also, protest marching is kind of like a grown-up way of having a temper tantrum. The reason that you don't see big anti-immigrant protests is because the people that are against it see that protest stuff really doesn't accomplish much, if all the Mexican citizens in the United States(yes, they're predominantly from Mexico) were to go home and take issue with their own domestic problems instead of having their temper tantrums in OUR country, they'd likely have less of those domestic problems, and hence less to complain about. Sometimes, solving problems means being willing to do so BY yourself, and rolling up your sleeves, and getting the job done, instead of just standing there crying about your situation and hoping for a handout/help etc.
If you wanna get all Jesus about it, it runs something like this:
Give a man a fish, he eats for today, teach him to fish, that's the last time you see your boat! LOL
I think what we need is better enforcement of our immigration laws, and less public patience for contrived sob-stories...
we've been played, and lied to, by people from a country that kind of doesn't really seem to know if they're coming, or going...
and then you get into all the corruption etc. It's ugly, and somehow, it magically became america's responsibility to fix all of it FOR them. I disagree, I think if they REALLY REALLY like america, then they should be studying about civics, law, and voting etc., and applying those lessons back home. But, what I'm mainly reading is "HEY, AMERICA, GIVE US ALL YOUR MONEY!!!!!" and my answer on that is a simple 'no'.
I think they should add a sign to the statue of liberty: NO PANHANDLERS! lol

Once again, put me with gokart because he said it all much better than I could have. Another thing I might add is that us "lazy" Americans are too busy "working" and most of us cannot afford to take a day off every now and then to do this thing you call "marching in the streets." LOL

Because since we are legal constituents, we have senators and congressmen that we telephone, e-mail, snail mail, and vote into office. I don't HAVE to march....I just pick up the phone. It's my right as a LEGAL american.
