Species with emotions like humans, cats, dogs, monkeys, etc are believed to have souls but what about species without emotions? like fish or plants?

If a plant or fish has a will to live doesn't that make it have a soul?

Every animal and human has a soul. If the thing moves than it has a soul except for plants. If they have feelings than they have emotions and a soul. For example if you hit a hamster it would bit you or run away and the same with other animals and humans. If they fight and defend than they have feelings and if they have feelings you know what that means.LOL

Interesting line of thought.

And if a person didn't have "emotions" due to a mental illness or injury, would they have no soul?
