Guys, when you hug a girl you are attracted to how is it different than a girl you aren't attracted to a just friends with.
Also, would you hug a girl and touch her on her sides and back a lot if you weren't attracted to her? THANKS!

Guys, when you hug a girl, how can we as girls tell if it's a friendly hug or an attraction hug?

Friend-hugs are brief and casual. A hug with meaning behind it is unmistakable. If you can't tell the difference, you haven't been hugged enough! In answer to your second Q, no. Those things indicate that the electricity is definitely flowing, at least on one side. Best of luck!

Well, when i hug girls im just friends with, its usually quick and not anything too special. The only exception to that is if they r upset and i'm comforting them. Hugs from ppl u like are usually longer, and usually i will rub the girls back and pull her head in close together.
I never really hug girls from behind b/c ive heard they hate it. so i couldnt help ya there
For sides if u mean like arm around the shoulder type stuff, that could go either way. I would say once they start getting farther down, its turning into a sexual gesture. If its just a quick, arm around the waste or shoulder, its most likely a "hi how r ya" hug

If I'm attracted, I'll lean forward to hug. If I'm not, I'll stand to the side and give a brief, side hug.
Yes, even if I wasn't attracted to a girl, I might touch her back and sides, as friends. It's all in the facial expressions girl!

If I like a girl, I might rub her back when I give her a hug, and let go slowly, brushing her sides. If it's just friends, a pat or two and then a quicker let go.

its all in how the person lets go.....if u like her...its like u want to hold on and keep hugging her but if its jsut a friendly hug then its quicker and the guy probably doesnt look into ur eyes immediately after he hugs you......
just notice what he looks at immediately after he hugs you.....if hes got that wistful expression ...then theres def something going on.....
u see guys in general dont like to hug......

if its a friend i do care for i use one arms
if its a friend i care for ill use 2 arms
and if its a friend i am attracted to the hug is with two arms, tighter than the others and lasts longer. Plus usualy her head draws in closer to my upper chest/ neck.
if i wasnt attacted to her i wouldnt touch her except for hellos and byes
