personally, garter belts and stockings dont hold much appeal to me.....but ive seen that most girls think guys love em. are girls mistaken? or do guys really like garterbelts and stockings? guys and girls welcome to answer...i want to see what ppl think........

Because they are so hot. I have been waring them for years because I can't stand the constriction of pantyhose, and I work in a professional office where hosiery are expected of women, just as a jacket tie and socks are expected of the men.
I have gone with a ton of guys, and they all have gone crazy over the look and feel of really sheer stockings and a garter belt. It is the quintessential turn on for most men, They are so sexy and slippery and feminine to touch, I usually have a a guy stroking my leg all night, and they love me to keep then on during sex. I have to admit that they are a lot more intent on their lovemaking techniques too, when I am wearing them.

well what i personally think it is is that the guy was just trying to make a move on you saying that something you wear is sexy and that not all guys generally like stockings BUT a reason why guys can like stockings and garter belts is that those things tend to show that the girl wants to have sex at least sometime, like the way thongs and black panties and tattoos do, their just signs.

Are you nuts? I won't even go out with a chick the second time if she isn't wearing stockings. Bare legs are tacky especially when going out to dinner or a theater when everyone is dressed up. They are for beaches and sports events, not evenings out.
Just go to bed once with a chic wearing sheer nylons and a garter belt, and make proper love to her and you will see, there is nothing like it for either of you.

I wear them all the time because I dislike pantyhose, and prefer the sheerness of real stockings. I don't think I have ever met a guy that doesn't love them, but I am thin with great legs and butt with just average to small boobs. Guys that are attracted to me are usually leg men to begin with.
I know of guys a few who are just boob men, that couldn't care less what you wear on your legs, but they go out with by big boobed girlfriends not me. I find the more sophisticated guys are as into the way a girl dresses and carries herself, as to the way she looks.

Most men are turned on sexually by visual stimulation so that is one appeal of them. I think that the other would be the tease of seeing just what is in store for them. Than again, I'm only a girl so I'm just guessing.
