The problem is increase in concentration of pesticides.If they are used in limited amounts they are a blessings.They can save millions of loss of crops but when some selfish or uneducated farmers use it in higher amount we have to face the consequences.Because concentration of energy decreases as we move ahead in food chain whereas toxic materials increases.We should educate farmers about this that their increased use of pesticide is effecting healths of peoples.especially infants.We have to make some hard rules which should be followed strictly

And u thought we get pesticides only in COKE and PEPSI. Thanks to Ms. Sunita Narayan for that but it is a fact that today we are eating and drinking pesticides in almost every thing. Yes, even the wheat or rice or Dal or Fruits or every eatable has pesticides in it and we need to control it. This is going to come up as a very big problem soon. The whole problem is that our govt is only interested in increasing food production but at what cost. In many districts of Punjab underground water has become so contaminated due to high use of chemical fertilisers and pesticides that people have started facing whole lot of health problems.

It will be much better to use organic pesticides and natural system of control which will certainly be much more affordable as well as better for us and our comming generation. We need to take immediate steps in this regard.
