Truth

I love to hear the truth - if the giver of the truth is someone I trust and if they are able to deliver it in a way that doesn't put me down or elevate themselves above me. If the person is nasty, puts me "in my place" or has an alternate agenda of their own that is selfish - then I don't accept it because what they are trying to communicate is flawed and I have to sort through it to figure out how much of what they are saying is true and how much isn't. When a person nags or brow beats you - even if they are telling the truth - you have to filter through all of the things they said that were actually abusive, out of place and off base. So, yes in the right context I'd rather hear the truth - but on the other hand I don't listen to whatever anybody has to say and accept that as truth - I have to measure it by a standard and think it through.

Definably the truth. That is why I always feel crappy. Lol, I always tell the truth too and people hate me for it. Oh well, I'm a realist and a skeptic, that is who I am, well all need a dose of honestly sometimes.

Most people hear what they want to hear. It takes wisdom and maturity to hear the truth.

If you WANT to hear the truth and someone tells it to you, aren't you just hearing what you WANT to hear?

When it comes to religion, people just listen to what they want to hear. There aren't a lot of people that are open minded to different religions and actually know what other religions are all about. There is evidence of that all over these boards with people redirecting religious questions to match their own beliefs.
