Chlorophyll in plant cells absorbs and reflects light. The reflected light that we see is at a certain wavelength. That wavelength is in the visible region, and specfically is green.

Leaf has a green colouring pigment chlorophyll inside the wall of thylakoids(grana) in chloroplast present in palisade.When the spectrum of light falls on leaves all the colours are absorbed except green which is reflected to our eyes.Thus leaves are green.

the leaves of the trees contain a green pigment called chloroplast this pigment gives green colour to the leaves it is not present in every trees.

It's b'coz of the pigment chlorophyll present in a cell organelle called chloroplast.
U may find some plants whose leaves r not green.it is simply b'coz they lack chlorophyll. some others are in blue,pink, violet e.t.c It's b'coz of a pigment called Anthocyanin stored in the vacuoles.some other colours r due to chromoplast.
