Can i take a mountain bike over the plane to India from Singapore?

I want take a mountain bike from Singapore to Mumbai, India on a plane. How much does it cost if ever...I can manage to fit in my baggage with the bike in the allowed weight range. I am flying the Jet Airways this december. Any help in this regard wud make things easier for me :)

You have to contact Jet Airways. Carrying a bicycle will cost you very much & i think you'll have to give import duty at customs office too.

You need to call the airline (have the measures of the bike handy). It's odd sized baggage and it will cose you extra (my guess is a couple of hundred dollars)
