(I'm reposting this because I would like more answers)
A few weeks ago, I told this guy that I like him. He said he didn't want a girlfriend at the moment. Last night, we went on a double date with two of my friends and ended up holding hands, making out, and falling asleep next to each other on the couch. Do you think he still feels like he doesn't want a girlfriend or has this changed? Everything was so romantic. I'm just afraid that it was a one night thing...not necesarilly a one night stand since we didn't sleep together. I'm really starting to fall for this guy, but i'm confused as to what is going on in his mind.

Apparently some think that I am ready and willing to have sex with him, and i'm not. I've made my share of sexual related mistakes in the past, and i've aquired the knowledge that it's better to take things slow...which i'm doing.

I think you should keep your distance for a little bit. Make him miss you and or if he doesnt then you'll have your answer while at the same time protecting yourself from getting too close. Sometimes guys may take advantage of the good stuff like cuddling and stuff from a girl but then they use the excuse that they have told you they don't want a girlfriend right now to keep playing the field when other opportunities arise. Don't get too close to him by letting him have his cake and eat it too so to speak. If he really likes you, and knows your feelings about wanting to be in a relationship, he'll either anti up and come ask you out or he should move on. It wouldnt be fair to your for him to have you while still being on the single list. Goodluck!

You're playing right into his hands. Guys like this are just looking for the enjoyment of the moment - no commitments - and you gave him exactly what he was asking for. If you move in for more relationally - he'll back out so fast you'll never know what hit you. He's not looking for a girlfriend - he's looking for someone to meet his needs whatever they might be at the moment. You're better than this and deserve better than a guy like this smoozing you over to get what he wants. Women get all emotional about these kinds of encounters with men - and well - alot of times - the guy is not falling for the girl at all - simply enjoying what he can get at the time and not thinking of you one iota. Women tend to think a kiss is supposed to mean something like beginning a relationship of some kind or closing a deal on some type of commitment - while most men - it means nothing more than a bit of fun. Men think of these things so different from women - guard your heart or you'll be sorry. So, then what if something more happens and you were to get pregnant? Do you really think he'd stick around?

Why is it a certain type of woman will never believe what a guy tells her, even if it's practically written in letters 10 feet high and shoved under her nose?
So you and him had a bit of touchy-feely and feel asleep on the same piece of furniture. How exactly does that translate into "oh, sure, I said that I didn't want a girlfriend, but gee, now I do"?

he could be like me....maybe he does want a girlfriend, but he thinks that having a girlfriend means to spend more time with her instead of his friends or other stuff that he likes. but at the same time he loves having someone to talk to, someone to kiss, someone to love. so i think you should take it kinda slow...nobody wants you to go all out on him and end up broken-hearted, try to get some "alone time" with him...and ask him if there's some particular reason why he doesnt want a girlfriend -it may be too hard to do, but that's all my advice ~GOOD LUCK~

No offense, but when you told him you liked him, that opened up an opportunity for him to try to get in your pants. At least he was honest about not wanting a girlfriend. Don't sleep with him, or he wins.

u were conveinent for him. If he really liked u he would't have risked losing you to another guy the first time. What guy wouldn't want to make out with a girl if she is available with no strings attached??

well you can ask how he thought about the date you guys had...and you can tell him that you thought it was really special...and that maybe he should give it a try...if he dosen't want a gf maybe becuz he dosen't want to much pressure on him..cuz i think being in a relationship with someone is a hard thing
