when the bible says not to have sex before you get married, don't you think that some young christian adults might get married too soon to somebody that may not be the best mate for them?
There has to be a lot of people who, had they not tried to stay chaste for god, would have figured out much earlier that they were too incompatible with that person.

never. Im a youthful person christian who has chosen chastity untill marriage. i think of this determination provides greater of an hazard to get to be attentive to somebody. I dont think of this maypersistent me to get married to quickly. and that i ask you for an occasion of somebody who might have found out a lot formerly that they've been incompatible. So your asserting that intercourse is the only thank you to be sure in the journey that your nicely matched? thats some logic there.

the bible was writtten BY an ancient culture FOR an ancient culture.
evangelicals insisting we follow these ancient customs and laws is just ridiculous and backwards
marrying for "love" is a fairly new concept... marriages were "arranged" for centuries/millenium and in many cultures. and still is practiced in some places
but i think marrying someone who you WANT to marry is preferable.
one could argue that arranged marriages rarely end in divorce ....but in those marriages, woman are more "property" than partner.
hopping in the car to go to the store is preferrable to hitching up the horses.and wagon
flying to visit family across the ocean is preferable to taking a long dangerous sea voyage
modernity!!... what a great invention!!
