(I'm new to yahoo and accidently deleted this question, go me....=P, reposting it.)There's this guy that has been in my guitar classes for the past 2 years and i hadn't gotten a chance to really talk to him until this year. He sits next to me because we share a music stand. The past couple of weeks we've gotten to know each other pretty well, but i'm not sure if he likes me as more than a friend. When i got contact lenses this year, he was the first to notice. Everyday he comments me on my hair or what i'm wearing. I'll catch him staring at me but he won't look away or he'll try to get me to look into his eyes. Sometimes when i'm practicing on my guitar, he'll put his hand over mine. He'll play his guitar and sometimes sings. He's very funny and always making me laugh. He's very outgoing and not shy at all, unlike me, who is shy and a bit introverted. I don't want to seem uninterested, because i do like him. How do you tell if he's being friendly or wants to be more than friend?

I'm unsure about these kinds of things (like signs on how to tell if someone likes you or not) because something similar to this happened with another guy and it turned out he was just really flirty and only wanted to be friends.

If your practicing your guitar when he puts his hand over yours : are you sure he isn't trying to stop you from playing so you will listen to him play? He may be trying to make you into his adoring audience. See if he would rather listen to you and talk to you then have your attention devoted to his playing and singing. Sounds like he's quite the entertainer and enjoys attention rather than investing more interest in you. A ham can turn out to be obnoxious, "look at me!" type just wanting attention. Make sure he genuinely shows interest in YOU. not in just gaining your attention.

You sound like an awfully sweet girl....and this sounds like he might truly be attracted to you. Good signs, so, why not just continue along and see where this special attention gets you? Have fun!

You can pretty much tell if he tells you. However, nowadays people often want more than romance, things that reduce, destroy, or prevent dignity in a relationship.

It can be that he is in love with u, but to be sure, you should act as a friend to prevent misunderstandings, then if it turns out that he is in love, then act as a lover...
