Give your tongue about a week and the swelling should be gone. And after 2-4 weeks the lump should be smaller Take some Motrin or Tylenol to assist in the pain and swelling. Keep a watch for unusual soreness or extra pain. If the area gets infected while healing, you'll have to see a doctor for antibiotics (you'll know about infection because your lymph nodes will swell). Just keep your mouth clean, brush and rinse out your mouth often to keep anything from irritating the piercing and you should be fine.

The lump is just scar tissue, it will go away with time. You can suck on ice chips and that will make the swelling go down and you can also take tylenol. No more than a week, probably less than that you should be pretty much healed, besides the lump and the hole that will go away with time. You should still rinse your mouth more often as you would have if you did have the piercing in since you do have the hole there and its a site for bacteria, so after you just take a quick swish of listerine. If you notice fever or pus then that is a sign of infection and its time to call a doctor. The tongue generally heals very quickly because it is very vascular and has great blood flow and the saliva is good for the healing too. The hole will close up with time, especially since you only had the stud in for 2 days.

ok first of all the lump is normal its not punishment...it is going to take the same amou nt of time to fully heal without the ring as with the ring..take some tylenol and try some cool beverages.this will help with the swelling. youll always have scar tissue.. this is normal if the lump doesnt go away in 2 - 4 weeks then consult a doctor it could be a killoid, but you have to remember when the needle passed through it took skin with it..

Your tongue is a muscle and like all muscles it constantly repairs its self. Within a week, you won't be able to put your tongue bar back in. Within a month, you won't be able to tell that you ever had it done. If you've ever had a pulled muscle, the healing process is along the same time frame.

first of all you have to stop talking, and the lump is just the start of your punishment because you shouldn't have shade your own blood unnecessarily.
but is not going to last as long as you start eating hot chilies.
and don't try it again.
