There are more JW's than that. Where do all the other JW's go after they die. Do they perish; do they go to a different level of heaven?

They have a really strange belief! The 144,000 mentioned in the Bible are 12,000 from each of the 12 tribes of Israel, all males, all unmarried and will be left behind to preach the Gospel during the tribulation as the Lord wants as many as possible to be saved. The only way a person can be saved is by believing in Jesus Christ as their personal savior. J.W.s also believe that in order to get to heaven they have to perform a whole lot of good works whereas the Bible is clear on this issue as it states that no one can be justified by their works before the Lord. They are really screwed up on the most basic of issues which are made very clear to us in the Bible. When reading the scriptures it becomes clear that they are a cult and the Bible warns us to avoid them.

It is so pitiful how little people know of what Jehovah's Witnesses really believe, although they think they do. I will ignore most of the misinformation in this column and concentrate on the words of Ken D. He says: "If there is a little flock in heaven, and a larger flock on earth...is that not two flocks?" The answer is no! The little flock and the other sheep are one flock, not two, although one class goes to heaven while the other class remains on an earth that will be restored to a paradise. Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe that all good people go to heaven. And unlike the falsehood of "rkirby", we do not try hard to be one of the 144,000. To say that all six and a half million Jehovah's Witnesses are trying hard to be of the 144,000 is downright stupid. Our hope is not to go to heaven, but to be part of a perfect society of people who will live on earth forever, the way it was supposed to be according to God's purpose for the earth.

All those who feel the Bible supports their belief of going to heaven need to do some serious thinking. First, if Adam and Eve had NOT sinned, where would they be today? In heaven or on the earth? Second, if all good people go to heaven, how will Ps. 37:11 be fulfilled? There, it says: "But the meek ones themselves will posses the EARTH, and they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace." Third, if all good people go to heaven, what do you think Jesus meant when he said at Matt. 6:10: "Let your kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also upon EARTH"?

The earth is my home. This is where I belong.

If you read the early literature from the Watchtower, all Jehovah's Witnesses would go to heaven. but then someone counted...143,999; `144,000; 144,001, 144,002 and they realized they had a problem so they found a solution...NEW light.

I do know that God has revealed HIS plan over time but nothing ever canceled out the old light that was given. Still they had to find someway to include the new people so they came up with the rest living on paradise earth forever. They say that God has a little flock and a big flock but they do not see that this violates the Word of God"

John 10:16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

If there is a little flock in heaven, and a larger flock on Earth...is that not TWO flocks?

Note: Lillie states: "The Bible does not teach that everyone who is good goes to heaven" Littlie, you are right...the Bible does not teach anywhere that ANY that is good will have eternal life. In fact, it tells us that ALL our works are as filthy rags and that includes our good works. There is no cosmic scale to weigh our good and our bad. ONLY those that call upon Jesus Christ for salvation will be saved.

Ephesians 2:

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

cbooth...

Revelation 21

1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Heaven and earth will be one place....so there will be one flock. You can not have one flock in two different places. The WT tells you that earth will not be destroyed yet the WORD of GOD plainly tells us it will be and that a new earth will be created.

Also, according to the WT, the little flock knows they are the little flock by the witness of the Spirit according to Romans chapter 8 (I heard this in several of the WT meetings myself and at the "memorial meal") Now Romans 8:9 tells us "But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his"

This plainly states that if one does not have the witness of the Spirit, they do not even belong to GOD

The question…who are you going to believe...an earthly organization...or GOD?

First of all, we're not a "cult", so please don't call us that.

Second, yes there are 144,000 chosen ones that will go to heaven and rule as kings and priests with Jesus as king of God's Kingdom.

What happens to the rest? They will live here on earth. It will be restored to it's original state, that being, a paradise. How do we know this? Simple...the Bible says so. Psalm 37:10,11,29; Isaiah 33:24; Isaiah 65:21-25; Isaiah 25:8. Those are just a few scriptures to prove that point.

Anymore questions? Feel free to email me I'd be happy to answer them. crazy_gurl_0005@yahoo.com. Thanks and take care.

Jehovah's Witnesses believe what the Bible teaches. And the Bible teaches that there are two classes.
Firstly, those with the heavenly hope who number 144,000(Rev.14:1-4).These ones are taken from the earth to reside in heaven as kings and priests with Christ. They are referred to as "little flock"(Luke12:32)
Then there is the other group or class. These are the ones with the earthly hope. And they are referred to in the Bible as "the great crowd" or "other sheep"(Rev.7:9;John 10:16).The Bible does not teach that everyone who is good goes to heaven.Man was designed to live on the earth. That was God's original plan.
(Ps.37:9-11,29;Pr.2:21;
Rev.21:3,4)

140,000 is the modern day Apostles. Just like12 Apostles to reach the Israel and world, God will have 12 by 12,000 to reach the world prior to the second coming of Christ.

Who are the 144,000? Please read following pocket book by Doug Batchelor "Who Will Sing the Song? The 144,000 of Revelation 14"

I am sure that with Judaism (i assume that is what you meant by JW) as with Christianity that beliefs vary on the subject.

As for me I believe the 144000 will be end time apostles that will lead out the end time message of Jesus' soon return. Just as there were 12 apostles at the start of Christianity that were teaching the world of God, at the end there will be 12 times 12000 that will be actively leading the world towards God. But many more than this will be saved, as the Bible mentions an unmeasurable amount of saints on the sea of glass in heaven. The 144000 will be the main instruments used in saving this immeasurable amount of people.

They do believe just that...

So I'm not so sure why they want to get more people to join...won't that push someone else out?

Oh, check out Rev. 7 for the true 144,000 that will be going and there's not a JW in the bunch...

They have misinterpreted the bible. The 144,000 thousand is speaking of the remnants of Israel during the Last days. They are going to be lead to mount Zion and the Lord is going to save them before they are destroyed by the Antichrist

Yes. But they also believe that there are more members of God's faithful than that and that those who do not go to heaven will live on a utopian earth. They also do not believe in the traditional hell, but that hell (or sheol) is simply the grave.
