Some LDS people do, but there is a mistaken assumption here.
There is an area in northern Missouri that is stated by the founder of the LDS church as to have been where Adam dwelt near the end of his life. So some assume that the Garden must have been nearby.
Thing is, that area doesn't match the description of where Eden was located. We also know that Adam and Eve were cast out, and apparently moved some distance away, and given that he lived 900+ years, an area in North America is possible even if Eden was originally not on this continent.
Other Bible references seem to reference the dividing of the continents as taking place at a later date -- so we just don't know.
The fact we do know is that civilization as we know it today didn't originate Biblically in the area where Adam and Eve settled if it was in America, -- it originated somewhere near the mountains of Ararat where the eight human survivors of a planet wide flood left the ark.

sure they do. they did not seem to understand that any backyard which may be leveled by technique of an EF5 isn't paradise. even although to be straightforward, there's no thanks to teach them incorrect as we do not have any way of understanding precisely the position the backyard became. The flood thoroughly rearranged the map. Now, i do not comprehend if the Mormons believe the backyard survived the flood, yet when it did, everyone with an oz. of difficulty-loose experience and dedication to self-upkeep can confirm out that it became not in any respect in twister Alley. Why such diverse human beings even stay there is previous me. you does not construct your abode on the runway of a international airport, would you? nicely, God does not plant a backyard on a runway, both. ok, anti-twistard rant over. @ BOB: follow I-40 4 till go out 5. Get off on go out 5 and commute north for about six or seven blocks. or you are able to take the left 2 intersections up from the go out and go west till you spot the clinical institution (on your left). Take the subsequent correct. you'll see what's left of yet another clinical institution, a set of flat the position neighborhoods became once, a park and 7 effective homes contained in the midst of nowhere. Yup, a daily backyard of Eden, that state.
