Most of the time, this is true. The amount of bliss derived from love is usually matched by pain when love is lost. Still, I firmly believe it is better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all.

It can...it can bring you a lot of grief if it is the wrong person.

On the flip side, however, it can be the best thing that ever happened to you. You take your chances and you will get burned a few times before you find the one that is right for you. But on that rough path you learn about yourself more and more and about what you want and don't want in a person.

Oh, there will be pain ahead to endure but the lessons you learn and the rewards you reap are worth it.

The percentage of finding someone to love and who loves you reciprocately is quite microscopic. So the probability of grief and loss when we choose to love someone is way bigger....But some of us are still lucky to find that one meant for us for life!
