I have been having trouble breathing at night, especially when I am laying kind of flat. It helps a ton if I put a few pillows under my head. I have also been getting awful night sweats. I wake up in the middle of the night and my pillows and sheets are soaked through! It's a VERY cold sweat. It's like someone dumped a bucket of cold water over my upper body. Any ideas what may be going on? I have to see my Dr. on Wednesday, but this is getting out of control! Last night was the worst night with the sweating ever!

I am a 27yr old male. I also have had a swollen submandibular gland for the past 6 months, that no-one can give me any anwers on why it's like that. One Dr. just said that my glands are just bigger then normal.

To breathe better instead of using pillows, make the head of your bed higher by placing a piece of wood under each leg of the head of the bed. Try different sizes. Too high you will slide down in the bed. It does help with breathing, I know because I have Gerd. Acid reflux. If you are on medication that could be the problem with the sweating, Call your pharmacist about reactions to meds.
