I have to option of choosing between wmv, (323mb) or mpeg (579mb) Because of the difference in size and the time it takes to download them I'd like to know what's the difference between the two. Is wmv is worse in quality?

wmv is best than mpeg ....wmv is format of window media player only ....and it will play only those players which support such format and at other hand mpeg is well known format which can be played in almost allmedia players.... plz download wmv

Also, wmv files are: window media video files. Which is how files are encoded for windows media player.
mpeg's is encoded for quicktime.
Encoding is a way to compress information into a readable format ( little more complicated than that, but you get the idea). In either case the quality will be dependent on how mush information is stored to wither one. More than likely the quality of the wmv is about the same to the mpeg.

I would think wmv usually have poor quality compared to mpeg. The difference in size is quality.
