According to the bible it is the only part of us that can be as filthy and defiling as no other and still be able to put forth good.
The tongue is often referred to as the double edged sword in the bible and just living on any given day will show us the proof of that.
So, I would say that the mouth is the window to Good and Evil within a person.

Eyes, are the window to the soul.
Mouth, I think is the window to the heart and mind. It may sound really stupid, but it's what I think.
What you feel in your heart - you express by saying it in most cases, right? Confessing your true feelings that you feel in your heart.
What you are thinking in your mind - is expressed through your mouth as what is going on in your mind.
Sorry if I am really off course since I recently suffered a head injury and I may be confusing most people.

windows to the heart...like one verse says out of the mouth comes the abundance of the heart....if you listen to what someone says with thier mouth you can tell what is in thier heart...
