Any cool ideas? I could use some interesting stuff. Even if its painting-ish as long as its cool and different it will do!

Some pretty rugs, a quilt, shadow boxes with colored candles in them, vases of flowers (artificial), neon signs, musical instruments, framed magazine covers.

Oh, I love doing this stuff, I have different stuff all over my walls. One thing I did was got a thick frame and put one pain of glass in it (this one you will have to hot glue to the frame), placed a few things like pearls, beads, flowers, ribbons, and a small pretty card, then I slided another pain of glass on the back side. It looks really beautiful when the light shines through it. Another thing was a little cabinet someone gave me. I took the door off and used it as a picture frame, the shelved part I put a hanger on the back and put it on the wall and used it to display a few nick-knacks, another thing is a small fan with a bow on the bottom flowing down the wall. Another thing I like to do to dress up a picture is to add a bow or some ribbon on the outside or inside of the frame, it really adds a nice touch. I could send you some pictures if you would like to give you a few ideas, just message me.

I have Kimono on 2 of my walls.

1 furesode in the bedroom and a tomesode in the living room.

I thought that was cute... Furesode is for unmarried woman and tomesode is for a married woman... Get it?

In the bed room, we have small prints, framed in mahogony that we hung as a kind of border along the top of the wall, They are framed shunga prints so we don't ever let anyone into the bedroom that we don't know because they are rather graphic depictions of Geisha having sex with Samauri in some very original and lets just say... unique positions... In one of them the Geisha is actually writing a poem while doing it. That... is original...

I also have some Chinese embroidery samples and loads of paintings but some are on silk rather than the regular mediums.

I also have some Koitsu woodblock prints and an ancient aquatint.

It used to be my walls were covered with boring baskets. Then when my children began making me things from school, you know the Mothers day, Easter, Christmas presents that you never quite have a place to put. Well I put them in side the baskets. I please my self, my children and my friends who ask where some thing came from and I can tell how I received each little gem that is hanging on my wall. Hope it helps.

Shopping bags, wrapping paper, or fabric - easy to collect and frame. Could glue to poster board too.

Plaster of paris reliefs - of anything - leaves, feathers, blocks. Spray paint.

Spray painted cheap little canvases, or blocks of wood, geometrically arranged.

Interesting clothes, hats, kimonos, hot purse.

Rugs, blankets, batiks, curtains framing mirrors.

Shells, willow, peacock feathers. Any one thing in multiples can be used to inexpensively decorate walls.

String of lights. Really awesome effect.

Make a display of something you like to collect, whether it's brooms, glassware, ducks, etc. Hats also make an interesting display and can be complemented with picture frames made with funky fabrics. Think about what your interests are and let your decor reflect who you are.

We put some puzzels up on the walls in our place...they make a glue that you cover the puzzel with after you've finished putting it together that holds it in place and they look really cool. We get alot of compliments on them. We have a collection of some round puzzels of undersea life that look really cool. try something like that.

how about your family seal, say from a historic era. or, what about a oriental-type rug hung from a pole. try a family tree picture or drawing. you can display awards or jerseys. you could hang the american flag (the proper way, of course).
