1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would
like to have chocolate (more than once but less than 10)

2. Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold)

3. Add 5

4. Multiply it by 50

5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1756 .
If you haven't, add 1755.

6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.

You should have a three digit number

The first digit of this was your original number (i.e., how many times you want to have chocolate each week).

The next two numbers are YOUR AGE! (Oh YES, it is!!!!!)

THIS IS THE ONLY YEAR (2006) IT WILL EVER WORK!!!!

so let me know the trick!! figure out how it works and the correct one will win 10 pts!!

good luck!!

Suppose that c is the number of times you want chocolate and that a is your age.

Let y be the year that you were born in. Notice that y + a is 2006 (this year!) if you have already had your birthday this year, and y + a = 2005 if your birthday this year hasn't occurred yet.

Now we do the math.
First you multiply c by 2 and you get 2c.
Now you add 5 and get 2c + 5.
Multiply by 50 and get 50(2c + 5) = 100c + 250
If you add 1756 you get 100c + 250 + 1756 = 100c + 2006
If you add 1755 you get 100c + 250 + 1755 = 100c + 2005
But from the paragraph above we can replace 2006 (or 2005) by y + a and we get 100c + y + a
Now we subtract y (the year you were born in), and since y - y = 0, we end up with 100c + y + a - y = 100c + a.

So we get the three digit number "c-hundred and a" where c is the first digit, and the last two digits are your age.

Notice also that the number you add in step 5 is the year of your last birthday minus 250. If you had a birthday already this year,
then 2006 - 250 = 1756. If you haven't had a birthday in 2006 yet then 2005 - 250 = 1755. So you can modify this trick to work in any year, not just 2006, if you change the number to be added in step 5 to be the year you are in minus 250 for people who have had a birthday, and to one less for people who haven't had a birthday yet in the current year.

I did this trick and it worked out my age one year off. I have either done this wrong or your trick has a fault in it.
