It seems like evil isn't concerned with it's own kind or even the average person, but goods straight too the good among mankind.

Hate towards Christianity, Christ, Saints, God and anyone close to him. Good hearted people basically.

I couldn't imagine anyone hating Christ because he was a very good hearted person that would have and did anything he could for a person yet they did and do.

Is there a reason why evil targets good?

And how can people follow it without knowing what they are doing?

in order for evil to exist there must be good, however this is not true in the relation to good, as evil is subserviant to good, this is why evil is attracted to the "thought" of manipulating good.

Wow! Such deep questions here, Sean! Hmmm.... does god attract evil? I believe God is the culmination of both good and bad, the yin and the yang, male and female. From him everything has sprung. As far as the devil goes, I believe there is no such thing as Satan. The devil is a state of thought that can exist in all of us. evil targets good just as much as good targets evil. Everything balances out in the universe and here at home on Earth. On the other hand, with religion, etc, I believe we manufacture our own evil. We must ask God to guide us and also ask him to help us see what we can learn from the bad in our lives.

Good luck finding the answers. Remember. When the student is ready, the teacher appears. ;)

Yes, evil will target good because it is the intent of evil to corrupt the good. You can't corrupt something unless you're involved with it. Try reading The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis - it lays it all out in a fascinating way.

People often hate what they don't understand

It's all about balance on this plane of existence. Good/bad, hot/cold, dark/light, male/female, love/hate ... and finally good/evil.

I don't think evil targets good ... it's simply that one cannot be present without the other. Duality will always exist until we ascend to the higher, pure spiritual regions where all is one.

I don't think that evil is too concerned with people who are following evil...after all, what would be the point? It is when people are close to God and they are overcoming that evil trys to interfere...because it is losing it's chance to influence that person.

Why do "good" christians do so much evil? Why dso they tareget everybody else with so much hatred?
The Puritans under the Mathers murdered innocent people at Salem, the Catholics killed millions, not just thousands of innocent people in the Inquisition. Hitler was a Christian and managed to get over twenty millions killed, six million of them Jewish. You have religious leaders of the christian faith screaming to have more killing in the US at this moment.
So how can people follow it without knowing what they are doing.

In some religion it says that the most faithful will be tested really really hard.

Let's imagine that it is a god and a devil. If I were the devil my pleasure will come from tempting (successfuly ) the best soldiers of the other side.

See Jov's ordeal.

Good is evils worst enemy. Evil wants to turn as many good people as possible, by temptation. That's why it is important to pray continuously for our Church leaders because they will be targeted.
