My cat has these rice like growths on his belly that grow back. Does anybody know what this is?

My cat has these small white rice like growths on the skin of his abdomen that are easily pulled out and don't bleed or seem to hurt him but grow back shortly after being pulled out. Does anybody know what these are?

Sounds like simple skin tags. Skin tags are harmless growths of skin that create a little fold, and unless they get in the way of something generally don't hurt anything. On people, they may be irritated by clothing, jewelry & such, but on pets they're probably not bothering anything.

Your vet can safely remove them. However, they may just continue to grow back. Some animals (and people) are susceptible to them, others are not.

If they are in fact skin tags, you could leave them alone, and simply point them out to your vet next regular visit.

Those are worms, your cat needs deworming..it is simple, you can buy drops that you put on the back his neck, or there is a very small pill you can administer. Be sure to wash your hands if you handle them, it is very easy to pass those worms to humans.. it's no biggie.. I have several cats I have adopted from the street, and about 5 others that eat at our house regularly.. I have to deworm my cats fairly regularly, and I have also dewormed myself at least once a year for the last 6 years. You can get the human deworming pills from a pharmacy.


I think I misread your question and assumed that they were coming out of the cats backside. My cat gets white heads near his teats occassionally ..could be this
