You could play the hampster dance music and sing "de da de do da di de do"

sorry, umm, that's the first thing that came to mind. no offense. actually, that's what I would do. When my hermit crab died I buried it in a ring case and wrote a poem for him.

Sing the lyrics to that song "The wheel in the sky keeps on turnin'"

and talk about all the happy memories you and your pet shared.

Ode to the Hamster

(NAME HERE) was a good hamster
(S)He always ate his/her food
Always was furry and sweet

We can always get a new hamster
And name him/her (NAME HERE) Jr.
To live on the memory of poor (NAME HERE)

"Our dearly departed hamster, who is now in hamster heaven, will always have a place in our hearts. He was a part of our family and provided us with love and laughter. He always had a sparkle in his eye as we watched him play and run around his cage. I remember how he used to race around his hamster maze, and the look of pure delight on my childrens' faces as they watched him. We are in eternal gratitude for this. For years we cared for him, and he rewarded us with this gift, to teach us the pure joy and essence of life -- the challenges that he conquered with courage, like when he drove his little hamster car past the family cat. So we honor him now and say goodbye. But he will always live inside of us."

"Your Hamsters name" was a nice hamster while he stayed with us here. May he rest this at the beginning of this autumn season and always. We will remember "name" at times and laugh at "name" antics. Rest in Peace.
