sorry, umm, that's the first thing that came to mind. no offense. actually, that's what I would do. When my hermit crab died I buried it in a ring case and wrote a poem for him.

Maybe write a poem. What was his name? Find some words that rhyme and come up with a nice poem to pay tribute.

I have composed a eulogy for your poor dead hamster :(
Ode to the Hamster
(NAME HERE) was a good hamster
(S)He always ate his/her food
Always was furry and sweet
Always did hamster things
Now we are without him/her

"Your Hamsters name" was a nice hamster while he stayed with us here. May he rest this at the beginning of this autumn season and always. We will remember "name" at times and laugh at "name" antics. Rest in Peace.
