My cousin called me to tell me about a dream that she had. She told me that the child version of herself (what she looked like when she was a kid) was speaking to her. Like, giving her advice on her relationship with her boyfriend. She also remembers seeing snakes in her dream. What does this all mean?

There are thousands of "Dream Books" that offer different opinions and there may be a few "universal" symbolic dream images. However the best opinion I've read is, only You (or your cousin) can really know what the dream means. When you dream, you are the director, the actors, the setting, the music and the theme or genre. Ask your cousin what do the dream images mean to her personally and let her figure it out from there.

Sweet dreams!

Snakes can mean either sexuality or betrayal. Also snakes mean wisdom in some instances. The child counseling the adult means the intuition telling the person something.

I wouldn't try to read much meaning into that, or any, dream. People who try to derive meanings from dreams have too much time on their hands.
