It won't kill you right away, or probably do any damage if it just happened once. Long term use of high-dosage acetaminophen will cause liver damage. If you think this may be a problem, you doctor can run a liver function test to make sure your liver is working correctly.

Hello, I recently took 18000mg of paracetamol and 540mg codeine and I'm still here however I did require emergency treatment and became really I'll I was wired up on oxygen and had to have many blood teat it took 5 days of treatment. Also everyone's body is different so as small as 8000mg could cause damage to someone depending on hight and weight! I am also a paramedic and know that the physiological changes and other risks with it! Alcohol can make it worse and cause more damage to the liver! It's unknown the damage I have left on my liver but I have had a lot of pains and nausea! So please go to the hospital and seek medical attention! Even if it's just a psychiatric review.

I'm sure it will not kill you, right away, but it will lead to liver failure, if continued. I am an RN, and have had many years experience working in A & D rehab. Although APAP(acetaminophen) is not a drug, in the sence of what we consider drugs to be normally, anything taken at that degree of abuse will be harmful.

Why did you take so much? You it can be harmful to your body. What you took was the maximum amount anyone should take in a 24 hour period. It not only affects your kidneys but your liver too!!! Don't take any more!!! Get some help!!! Call a hospital!!!

Excessive use of Tylenol will not kill you.... the damage that it can do to your liver can.... It depends on your liver function..... it usually takes 24 hours to occur.... signs of Tylenol overdose include nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. Tylenol is metabolized in the liver and when the liver is "overloaded" with Tylenol it begins to use secondary processes to metabolize the Tylenol.... and this process causes a build up of toxins in the system. Kidney function can be damaged as well... Your liver is an organ that does not repair itself once it is damaged... so you may end up with a life time of health problems....

4000 mg taken at once won't kill you. It will likely cause some liver damage. But don't despair. Keep doing it every day and it will kill you.

Yes because if you even exceed 2400mg your liver and kidneys overload and anything past it is possible rupture to you kidneys and liver which could cause internal bleeding and a very slow and painfull death. Granted as long as you dont take it all at once.
but even distributing it over a 24 hour peroid could still do major damage.

It will destroy your kidneys, that's for sure. Thus yes it could kill you. You would suffer total kidney failure, turn yellow and die a slow agonizing death. how do I know? A young girl in my son's school OD on it. She dies 4 days later. It will also eat a hole in th lining of your stomach. Please don't ever do that. You will regret it.Symptoms of an acetaminophen overdose include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, sweating, seizures, confusion, and an irregular heartbeat.
