My skin is a little weird. When I arrive at school, go to the washroom during the day and check my face, it's darker and maybe even slightly pasty (for lack of a better word)? when I'm at home, it's the normal color, a bit fair. I thought that maybe it's because our house has a lot of moisture. I put on moisturizer and all that jazz, but it's still happening. Any thoughts why this is happening?

Well, it depends on lighting, yes and also some other things. Like when you are in school, your skin in more exposed to dust, and it eventually gets more oily. Oil makes yoru face sticky so more tiny particles struck in your face.Which makes your face slightly darker. But when you are in home, you are in a bit better environment.

More than likely, it's the lighting combined with the way the different wall colors reflect in the mirrors.

And schools seem to work at putting in lights and colors that make people look bad.

I think it's a difference in the lighting; related to that phenomenon of putting on makeup or concealer that looks totally natural in your own home, yet when you get to work it looks like you have paint on your face. Do they use florescent lights at your school?

I notice myself, that when I am in the car during the day my skin looks VERY pale and kind of blueish, but at home it looks normal.

It could be more moisture in your home, but I think it's more likely the lighting in the school bathroom.

Try looking in a hand mirror like a make up compact mirror OUTSIDE at school. Then, when you're home, look at yourself outside in the same mirror. I think you'll find out your skin looks pretty much the same at school and at home, because you'll be looking at it in the same natural light.

it's probably the lighting that's making you think your skin is changing colors.but in the mornings skin does tend to be very slightly lighter than later on because it's fresh.

The flourescent (sp.?) lighting in the classroom is messing with you.
